Alan began his photography and documentary film career in New Zealand. In 1967,
after a stint as Official Photographer at Scott Base, Antarctica, he reversed poles to
the Canadian Arctic and eventually settled in Edmonton. Alan's photos have been published in
the "Times", London, "Discovery" magazine and several other prestigious publications. Twenty-five years of documentary film and television production followed with many award-winning programs. Recently, Alan left Alberta for Salt Spring Island with the intention of returning to his creative roots, nature photography, and to set up an image bank to include slides taken during expeditions to some of the most inaccessible and beautiful parts of the world. |
