Ken's approach to photography comes from years of painting and drawing. Now the images are painted with light, yet, his motivation is still to capture visual poetry through form, color, and composition.

Ken received a BFA from Cal State University at Northridge, California in 1972, and began integrating his painting skills with photography in 1994. He has traveled extensively in pursuit of his images including a 2000 mile road trip throughout Mexico, and journeys to The Czech Republic, Yugoslavia, Thailand, Cambodia and Ireland.

Drawn to the magnificent light and artist community, Ken moved to Salt Spring Island with his wife Randie in 2004.

Ken has shown his work at galleries in San Francisco, Seattle, Victoria, and Salt Spring Island.
